Exif Orientation Test Images

Test images with different Exif orientations. Software should display all images in the same orientation and the text should be readable. For more information, see https://zpl.fi/exif-orientation-in-different-formats/.

This project is inspired by Dave Perrett's EXIF Orientation-flag example images.

Browse the images below or download master.zip with all images. Numbers 1-8 in the filename indicate the image's Exif orientation value and 0 means that no Exif orientation is stored.

Usage

Generate your own test images by running:

$ ./generate my-image.jpg exiv2    OutputX.jpg
$ ./generate my-image.jpg exiftool OutputX.jpg

or regenerate example images in this repository:

$ ./generate-examples
